Tim: My favorite childhood memory

My favorite childhood memory combines the very best memory and subsequently one of the very worst.

My birthday is on April 9th. When I turned seven, it happened to fall on a school night, but we still celebrated as a family. I remember playing Dr. Mario with my dad and being able to stay up late. It was one of the best times I can remember with him.

The next day, April 10th, I was in class at school, and I recall my mom coming into the room and was clearly upset. Little did I know or truly understand at the time, but my dad had passed away that morning at work.

Since I was just seven, I do not recall a lot of memories with my dad but that one night of playing video games on a school night was one of the best.
